Hunger in our community is focus of 39th Annual Auction Fund-Raiser Event to be held on April 3rd
Did you know there are over 6,000 individuals in McKean County that do not know where there next meal is coming from?
The Kane Rotary was informed recently of that statistic at its February 15th Luncheon meeting held at the Presbyterian Church.
The Rotary hosted special guests Beth Lenaway (Director of the Senior Center) and Amber Hancharick (Chairperson), shown from left flanking President Erin Vassallo.
The efforts to secure donations for the 39th Annual Auction/Fund-Raiser are underway. This year's Radio Auction, aired by WDDH, the Hound 97.5 is slated for Sunday, April 3rd at the Kane Area Community Center from noon to 4 PM. The Rotary will be partnering with The Kane Sparrow Fund and Second Harvest Food Bank in this worthwhile effort.
Auction Chairpersons are Ms. Hancharick, Ms. Conklin and Nadine Holt.
Donations may be made may contacting any Rotarian or partner organization. Rotarians will be contacting local businesses and organizations from February 22 through 26. Items may also be dropped off at Constable's Furniture Store, located at 410 Center St, Johnsonburg or The Kane Rotary Auction at 45 Fraley Street in Kane Pa.

Colonel Thomas Anderson Shares Experiences With The Kane Rotary
Col Thomas Anderson recently visited
& spoke to the Kane Rotary Club. Col Anderson, a Kane native and a 22-year
Army Veteran is currently serving in Saudi Arabia as the liaison between the US
Army and the Saudi Army. Col Anderson is the son of Tom & Sue Anderson of
Kane.
